Who is the ReadEasy Evolve for?
With the push of a single button, the ReadEasy Evolve captures printed text and begins reading it aloud within seconds.
It is ideal for both partially sighted and blind individuals of all ages and abilities. The device offers the ability to magnify and enhance reading materials in various viewing modes while simultaneously reading them aloud (with the Feature Pack).
The ReadEasy Evolve is perfect for reading books, newspapers, magazines, mail, bank statements, food packaging, medicine labels, tins, and much more.
Easy to Use
The ReadEasy Evolve has built-in tactile controls, consisting of just 6 buttons. It is incredibly simple and intuitive to use for people of all ages and abilities.
Have documents in thick books or odd shapes? There’s no need to flatten the spine of thick books. The ReadEasy Evolve adjusts its focus to perfectly capture text, even on curved or odd surfaces like thick books, food containers, and cans/bottles.
The ReadEasy Evolve automatically detects and reads different languages, even allowing users to read mixed-language documents, switching seamlessly between languages sentence by sentence.
You can scan an entire book just by turning the pages. The ReadEasy Evolve will also correct image orientation to ensure the text is always facing the right way, regardless of how the document is placed under the camera.
Using the latest camera and recognition technology, the ReadEasy Evolve ensures maximum accuracy, even with complicated newspaper layouts or items like tin cans and medicine bottles.
Unique Features
ReadClear Technology ensures accurate text recognition by preventing text capture while a document is moving or being positioned.
PowerRead (with Feature Pack) is perfect for avid readers, enabling immediate reading of multiple pages. You can listen to and navigate the first page right away while the remaining pages are captured automatically in the background.
ReadHere (with Feature Pack) is ideal for low-vision users, allowing you to read only the parts of a document that interest you. Simply click or press on your chosen word in Live Mode to capture the text and start reading from that word. This eliminates the need to start from the beginning, saving time and reducing frustration.
Setup & Transport
Set up & Transport
The ReadEasy Evolve has been designed for simplicity in both setup and use. It features an integrated foldable carrying handle, making it effortless to move from room to room. The detachable camera allows for easy transportation, and both the camera and the optional Feature Pack can be neatly stored inside the back of the unit.
The camera easily adjusts for either letter or tabloid-sized documents, and the included positioning guide and retractable tab enable users to align documents by touch alone.
Optional Feature Pack
For Blind Users
The tactile Wireless Control Pad, with multi-year battery life, unlocks additional features such as multi-page document capture, navigation control, and the ability to save, load, import, export, and bookmark documents. The dedicated ‘multipage’ button allows for uninterrupted reading of long documents, while the unique navigation dial enables quick word-by-word navigation to rewind or fast-forward text if something was not heard or fully understood. Includes a magnetic simplifier for ease of use.
For Partially Sighted Users
The ReadEasy Evolve connects to any TV or monitor to magnify (over 100x), enhance, and display documents while reading them aloud. The control pad’s integrated joystick eliminates the need to slide documents around under the camera, allowing for faster and more comfortable reading compared to a traditional video magnifier.
The ReadEasy Evolve fully supports touchscreens, enabling pinch-to-zoom, effortless panning, and the ability to tap on a word to start reading. It offers six enhanced text views with full customization options for cursor size, spacing, highlighting, and more, tailored to your individual requirements.
