Features:
Crystal Clear ‘True Font’ Magnification
SuperNova’s True Font technology ensures that text and images appear crisp and smooth, even on large displays. You can magnify content from 1.2 up to 64 times, with 28 different size options to find the perfect fit for your vision. Easily zoom in and out with a keypress, mouse wheel, or on-screen buttons for seamless control.
8 Magnifier Views
SuperNova offers eight different magnifier views to keep your documents and apps in perspective:
- Full screen
- Split screen (top, bottom, left, or right magnified)
- Fixed window
- Movable magnifying glass
These views allow you to keep the rest of the screen in its original, unmagnified state, helping maintain context. You can resize and reposition the magnified area for better control over what appears on your screen.
Never Lose Sight of the Action!
SuperNova’s automatic tracking ensures you can always follow your actions. Whether you’re typing, moving the mouse, or tabbing between links, the magnifier follows you seamlessly, so you never lose track of where you are.
Control the Magnifier with Simple Keystrokes
Quickly navigate to the edges, corners, or center of the screen with easy keystrokes. Save your magnified position or set a hooked area to monitor essential information, such as a clock or word count. Hide or reveal these areas with a hotkey whenever needed.
Smooth Panning
For those who find it difficult to follow mouse movements, smooth panning offers a solution. Simple keystrokes gently glide the magnified area in any direction. Tap repeatedly to increase speed and release the keys to stop.
24 Color Settings
SuperNova provides 24 carefully crafted color schemes to reduce glare and improve reading comfort. You can adjust brightness, contrast, or color tint to create your own custom scheme. With Color Replace, swap out colors to those you recognize best for easier web browsing.
High Visibility Mouse Pointers
Choose from four pre-set mouse pointer color schemes or create your own. SuperNova lets you adjust the pointer size separately from your magnification level, ensuring the pointer is easy to see without obstructing your text. With over 200 pointer images available, there’s a solution for every user.
Highlight Mouse, Cursor, Word, and More
SuperNova’s highlighting feature helps you keep track of your location on the screen. You can highlight the mouse pointer, cursor, word, line, or even the Windows focus and Dolphin Cursor. Trainers and colleagues can easily follow along as you work. Toggle the highlighting feature on and off with a hotkey for added convenience.
Customizable Highlighting Schemes
Six balanced highlighting schemes are included, but you can also create your own by adjusting shape, color, size, and transparency. Highlighting helps draw attention to where you’re working on screen, making it an excellent tool for teaching and training.
Hooked Areas
SuperNova allows you to save as many hooked areas as needed, customized for different applications. This feature helps keep essential information, like word counts or formula bars, always in view. You can even monitor the time by keeping an eye on the clock with a hooked area!
Doc Reader
Doc Reader simplifies document and web page readability by reformatting them in a dedicated, easy-to-read window. You can customize the font, color, and line length to match your preferences. Hit play, and Doc Reader will read the text aloud, highlighting each sentence for better comprehension.
Line View
Line View enables smooth, single-line scrolling of documents and web pages, reducing visual clutter. Customize the font, color, and scrolling speed to suit your needs. Pause or resume with the space bar, and use arrow keys to fast forward or rewind.
Margin Release
Margin Release ensures you stay aware of your screen boundaries by showing how close your magnifier is to the screen’s edge. It adds extra space around the original screen, making it easier to keep your mouse pointer in the center. The strong contrast shift indicates when you’re approaching the screen’s edge, making navigation more intuitive.
Effortless Tablets and Touchscreen Access with SuperNova
SuperNova offers seamless touchscreen access, making it incredibly simple to navigate documents and apps:
- Use 1 finger to pan SuperNova’s magnifier around documents and apps.
- Use 2 fingers to pinch and stretch, adjusting the magnification level in any application.
- Use 3 fingers to tap and change color schemes, or access more magnifier options.
Additionally, SuperNova features a high contrast large print, onscreen keyboard that adjusts to the screen width, making it easier to see what you’re typing. This combination of touchscreen controls and high-contrast keyboard ensures an effortless and intuitive user experience.
Get More Done with Multiple Monitors
SuperNova allows you to magnify on one, two, or as many displays as needed, making multi-tasking more efficient. You can work on separate screens with each magnified document, project presentations in their original size for sighted audiences, while keeping your speaker notes magnified on your laptop. Collaborate closely with a trainer or colleague by cloning your display at regular size for their ease.
Side by Side
Side by Side is designed for magnification users who need to manage multiple tasks at once. It works with the Windows Extended Desktop to magnify each application on separate screens, so you never run out of space. You can keep track of incoming messages on one monitor, prepare documents on a second, and browse the web or review a spreadsheet on a third. The flexibility to assign different applications to each monitor ensures you stay organized and never lose your place as each application is tracked individually.
Mouse Buffer
Mouse Buffer ensures you don’t lose track of your pointer when using multiple screens Side by Side. SuperNova’s unique buffer allows the pointer to stay on one screen until you actively move it to another. You can switch between monitors using a hotkey or adjust the resistance level so the pointer only moves when you need it to. This is perfect for situations like projecting magnified slide notes on your laptop while presenting unmagnified slides on a projector.
Clone
Cloning gives you flexibility for teaching, training, or collaboration. The Standard view option shows an unmagnified copy of any application on a second screen, allowing a partially sighted user to work with a fully sighted user. Clone can also magnify the same content across multiple screens, allowing several partially sighted colleagues to collaborate on the same project.
Span
Span allows your application to stretch across multiple monitors as if you have one large continuous screen, making it easier to manage multiple windows at once.
Presentation Mode
Designed for Microsoft PowerPoint, Presentation Mode lets you view magnified speaker notes on your laptop while your sighted audience sees your slides in their original size on a projector or large screen. It’s an ideal setup for professional presentations.

Convenient for when your document is accidentally upside down.
Color changer
If the image is difficult to see or the contrast is poor, adjust the colors by repeatedly pressing the color changer button. This cycles through popular schemes like inverted brightness, high contrast black on white, high contrast white on black, yellow on blue, white on blue, and yellow on black.
Lock your camera’s auto focus
If your camera includes an auto focus feature, you may prefer to turn it off, especially if it becomes distracting with magnification or fluorescent lighting.
Capture the image for further exploration
The capture image button copies the camera’s image, unmagnified, which can be saved or added to a document. Alternatively, SuperNova can convert the image into text and read it aloud using the “Scan and Read” option.
Adjust the viewing area
Change the viewing area to the top, bottom, left, or right side of the screen. You can also resize the area to fill 80%, 50%, or 20% of your screen, or send it to a second monitor.
Easy document exploration
No need to move your worksheet under the camera or use an X-Y table. Instead, use your mouse or touch controls to explore the document with ease.
